Power Affordable Clean Energy USDA PACE

The Powering Affordable Clean Energy (PACE) program is part of the Inflation Reduction Act, which represents the largest investment in rural electrification since President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed the Rural Electrification Act into law in 1936. With $1 billion in funding, PACE helps make clean, affordable, and reliable energy accessible to the people of rural America.

Empowering Rural America (New ERA)

The Empowering Rural America (New ERA) program as part of the Inflation Reduction Act helps rural Americans transition to clean, affordable, and reliable energy. By reducing air and water pollution, New ERA funding improves health outcomes and lowers energy costs for people in rural communities. New ERA program funding is available to member-owned rural electric cooperatives, which have been the backbone of America’s rural power delivery for nearly a century.

Justice40 Initiative

Signed into Executive Order 14008 committed to a goal that 40 percent of the overall benefits of certain Federal investments flow to disadvantaged communities that are marginalized, underserved, and overburdened by pollution, with a commitment of funding towards climate change, clean energy and energy efficiency, clean transit, affordable and sustainable housing, training and workforce development, remediation and reduction of legacy pollution, and the development of critical clean water and wastewater infrastructure.
Justice40 Programs include the Inflation Reduction Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the American Rescue Plan.

Environmental Protection Network - Federal EPA Resources

Environmental Protection Network is a great resources for Nevadans related to federal EPA funds. 

 

The Environmental Protection Network (EPN) launched its pro bono capacity-building technical assistance program in June 2021 to help disadvantaged communities, community-serving NGOs, and under-resourced agencies navigate and understand government programs, data, and processes; gain access to partners, allies, and decision-makers; and apply for funding.

Nevada Division of Environmental Protection Infrastructure Financing

Tasked with administering loans and grant programs to assist with drinking water, wastewater, storm water, and non-point source water systems within Nevada, this website provides further information specific to IIJA funding opportunities. Nevada Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation & Technology

Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development

Information on Nevada’s Comprehensive Connective Strategy, a Connected Nevada as well as Nevada's "High-Speed" initiative, the Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada Telecommunications and Information Administration (to expand internet access to 11 tribal communities), and Las Vegas and Axios Nevada agreement to develop a high-capacity transit line to connect Downtown Las Vegas to the Medical District and Downtown Summerlin. Nevada Department of Energy

DOE has begun to announce guidance to states for available funding. To date, the only IIJA funding GOE has received is for improvement of our State Energy Security Plan. NDOT - Airport Grant Matching Program

The Nevada Aviation Technical Advisory Committee (NATAC) was formed as a forum for discussing planning and programming issues related to the Nevada Airport & Heliport System Plan (NAHSP), providing recommendations for the administration of the Fund for Aviation, (formerly the Aviation Trust Fund), and to fulfill the public participation processes defined under Nevada's open meeting law as defined under Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) Chapter 241 and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements in Advisory Circular 150/5050-3A.

The Fund for Aviation was reestablished by the 2023 legislature through AB58 at $1,000,000 per year.  The procedures for obtaining matching funds for airport matching grants are in accordance with NRS 494.048 and these funds must be used exclusively on federal projects at public-use airports within the state for the enlargement, improvement or maintenance of rural airports, landing areas or air navigation facilities.
